As we practice the basic elements of this beautiful and fluid hand, we will also explore a variety of designs for page layouts and borders.  Contemporary calligraphy marker pens will be provided. 

We will also cut reed pens out of Phragmites Communis, a reed native to Nantucket. The spongy cellular texture of the Phragmites pen yields sensitive variations in your Calligraphic stroke!
