LONG SHED CLAY:

OPEN STUDIO COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP

Open to Artists over the Age of 18
Prior Experience needed

Days + Times:
June 1–October 31, 2026
Open Studio Hours: 
Monday + Wednesday: 8 am–4 pm

Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday + Saturday: 8 am–9 pm

Tuition:  
$150 per week (4 week minimum) 

Additional weeks $150/wk

All participants must buy and use NISDA clay.  We have Cone 06-04 Terracotta and Cone 5 B-Mix White clay bodies. #25 is $65. This fee includes glaze materials and firing fee.

Please note: Experienced potters and hand builders in clay may apply for Long Shed Open Studio privileges at NISDA. Applicants should have prior experience and be able to work independently. There is no instruction included with this program.  Participants must follow studio policies and initially meet with studio techs for an orientation. Open studio members also participate in one hour of studio craft per week, such as assisting in the loading and unloading of kilns or helping to keep materials organized.
