Rescued and Found Material // Upcycled Art

An interesting twist on the Sailor’s Valentine! Found, rescued and upcycled materials are given new life in this 3D assemblage which draws its inspiration from the timeless and sentimental gifts brought home by Nantucket’s 19th century sea voyagers for their loved ones! Bring your tidbits or scavenge from a collection of odds and ends supplied by the instructor and NISDA. Art materials provided by NISDA.
CLAY WHEEL ALL LEVELS Adult 18+ (Teens are invited to register) Instructors: Helen Mills Learn or expand your knowledge on the clay process as we explore techniques of wedging, throwing, trimming, and glazing.
CLAY HANDBUILDING I Beginner to Intermediate Adult 18+ (Teens are invited to register) Handbuilding is the art of using our hands and simple tools to create clay objects.
