SUSPENSION OF NISDA PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES DUE TO COVID-19 IMPACT
Due to Covid-19 we are suspending all Nantucket Island School of Design and the Arts programs thru May 2021. This includes the activities at NISDA’s Seaview Farm Art Center in Wauwinet and the Artist-in-Residence program at NISDA’s Harbor Cottages Artist Colony.
Open studios provide the new opportunity (outside of class and workshops) to schedule personal time that accommodates your work and family schedules.
For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 508-228-9248. With an open studio membership you will get access to the studios any time the school is open and classes are not using them. Do plan to join us for our Wednesday evening lecture series at 7 PM.
Come create in NISDA’s Long Shed clay studio on the historic Seaview Farm property in Wauwinet. Once you complete an orientation session you will have access to the studio seven days a week during open hours when the clay studio is not in use by classes. You will also get a shelf to store your work on. Lab fee covers an initial bag of clay and all glazes and firings during the time you are enrolled. You must sign up for at least three weeks to ensure access to both bisque and glaze firings, but shorter enrollments are welcome.
We invite you to come use the studios in our main barn at NISDA’s Seaview Farm for drawing, painting, textiles and other media. Studio memberships will be arranged on an individual basis based on your needs and the programming at the school. Please contact us at 508-228-9248 or by email at email@example.com.
