DIRECT DYE APPLICATIONS II July 19 + 20
Explore surface design on fabric; frottage, heat transfer images, dye techniques.

SILK PAINTING July 26 + 27
Explore techniques and spontaneous qualities of painting and printing on silk

EMBELLISHMENT August 2 + 3
Explore traditional / experimental stitchery and embellishment techniques; chain stitch, appliqué, punch needle plus embellishment with beads and objects.

QUILTMAKING August 9 + 10
Explore creative uses of traditional and non-traditional quilting materials, formats and techniques; patchwork, appliqué / reverse appliqué and trapunto.

Note: Tuition includes supplies for in-class projects and workshops. You will be given a list of additional optional supplies. Bring personal (sewing machine, if desired) materials, sewing basket, beads, and your own design and clipping ideas.

“Drop in” Enrollment
Selected courses are designed to accommodate workshop enrollment for island guest visitors and islanders with work/schedule challenges. Do visit our registration staff to find your “drop-in” enrollment options and to register prior to going to class. We are in hopes we can accommodate you! Information is also available by phone. Tuition is pro-rated.

Tutorial Instruction
If a course is fully enrolled another section of the class may be formed or for fewer individuals we will work to arrange for small group instruction or one or two-person tutorial instruction. Tutorial instruction may also be requested. Small group instruction cost varies. Individual tutorial is $65 per hour.

Both options above are possible if there is not an existing class available for enrollment. When enrolling, attach a note to your application so we may research your options. Thank you!
