Artist and Educator Residency for Study, Research or Sabbatical
We invite you to participate in NISDA’s artists/teachers residency program, independent study and research, or sabbatical to re-charge and re-fresh! To apply, please fill out our Artist’s Residence Application. Fall, Winter and Spring bring about an atmosphere of isolation and reflection in the quiet off-season of Nantucket Island. The local Nantucket community offers a diverse range of cultural and educational opportunities and experiences. The ever-changing light, color, and weather reveal new facets of texture and appreciation to the seasons, which are essential to the total Nantucket experience.

Arts Stewardship; Artists as Mentors & Educators
Consider joining our Cultural Expression Interdisciplinary Curriculum week-long educator’s institute to consider sharing your artist’s creativity and ideas with schools and community as Artist, Educator, Mentor or Workshop Leader.

SeaView Farm Studios Wauwinet
NISDA’s Studios, surrounded by a meadow near Polpis Harbor are eight miles from town. Our Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Mixed Media Studios and deck space are in the dairy building along with textiles, photography with black/white dark-room, little Silo gallery with outdoor pavilion in the school meadow. Our long shed barn houses jewelry and ceramics studios with three skutt electric kilns.
